Passengers up 0.4 percent in October

Passengers were 0.4 percent higher at Bristol Airport last month compared to a year earlier, with 528,000 passengers passing through the terminal in October.
Domestic passenger were 10.8 percent lower after the airport lost a number of BA Connect services, but international passengers increased by 5.1 percent, continuing to benefit from the introduction of a 10th easyJet plane based at the hub in May and the strong performance of Continental and KLM routes. Charter passengers were 1.0 percent higher.
In the 12 months to the end of October passengers were up 2.4 percent to 5.8m, with domestic traffic 8.9 percent lower, international traffic up by 9.4 percent and charter passengers down 0.7 percent.
During the month SAS has announced that it would introduce a new three times weekly service to Oslo in April 2008 and Lufthansa announced that it will operate a three times daily service to Frankfurt from March 2008.
