Flyglobespan announce Toronto flights
17.11.07
Flyglobespan is to launch flights between Bristol Airport and Toronto, next summer. The weekly flight, operating each Monday, will take off on May 26 and offer passengers a link to Toronto's Hamilton Airport, with return tickets from £315 including taxes.
Tom Dalrymple, Flyglobespan's founder and chairman, said: 'We are delighted to be offering these new flights. We know the market in Canada very well and this knowledge, combined with our ability to offer great fares, gives us a great product.'
Bristol Airport's Tony Hallwood said: 'Securing a second transatlantic service is fantastic news and underlines our long-haul credentials. Canada is one of the destinations frequently requested by our passengers, so we are delighted to be able to offer a weekly service from next May.'
Mr. Dalrymple and Liverpool Airport made similar positive noises about the Flyglobespan New York flights that were launched earlier this year but 'suspended' (cancelled) last month, after it emerged that they averaged just 20 passengers per flight. We hope the Bristol - Toronto route is more successful.
