02.10.07
Bristol Airport has been short-listed for the Globe Travel Award 2008. The hub is up for the best regional UK airport category, the Western Daily Press reports.
The airport has enjoyed rising passenger numbers in recent years - doubling its share of UK passengers in the last six years, with 6 million passengers expected to pass through its doors this year. In August the hub handled over 636,000 passengers - up 5.8% on a year earlier - and 7,213 aircraft movements.
The ceremony will be held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on January 15, where members of the travel industry will announce the winners.
