Celebrating Bristol's prestigious ship building past through models, pictures and audio-visual displays, the Maritime Heritage Centre is a way to discover the history of this port city and shipbuilding in Bristol. There are full size reconstructions as well as models and original machinery.
A ticket to the maritime heritage centre also includes a visit to the SS Great Britain, the world's first great ocean liner, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
While you're in the harbour area, check out the Matthew, Watershed Media Centre or the Industrial Museum. You can even take a boat trip around the harbour to Bath and even as far as the Bristol Channel and the Welsh Coast.
