Airport hotel plans approved
31.08.10
Plans for a new hotel at Bristol Airport as part of its £150 million redevelopment programme have been approved by North Somerset Council. The hotel will have 250 bedrooms, and is scheduled to open in the winter of 2012. It will be a four storey building with facilities including a bar, restaurant and meeting rooms.
The hotel will be built 100m from the airport terminal, offering passengers a convenient and easy stroll to the airport. Pricing will be higher than the majority of its current competitors due to the advantages of its location. Objections to the hotel related to the impact of additional traffic on the area, but this was balanced by the benefit of the 125 new jobs that will be created.
