New virtual assistants help passengers through security
31.07.11
Bristol Airport now has three new Virtual Assistants, one of a series of initiatives aimed as simplifying the security process. The assistants use audio visual-technology to communicate with passengers while they pass through the security area and immigration hall.
The airport expects the technology to help reduce waiting and queuing times. A spokesamn for the airport said: ‘We wanted to enhance the experience for customers. For many passengers liquid restrictions or use of Immigration e-gates can be confusing. Our new Virtual Assistants use state-of-the-art audio visual technology to give guidance and reassurance to our customers at the most critical times.’
Similar Virtual Assistants are already being used at Luton and Birmingham airports.
