Man in court over £250,000 cocaine find

A Lithuanian man has been remanded in custody after cocaine with a street value of £250,000 was found in a suitcase at Bristol Airport. Andrius Karbauskis, 25 had arrived on a flight from Antalya in Turkey on Saturday with the suitcase, which was searched by UK Border Agency officers at the airport
The drugs were found hidden in false compartments and Mr Karbauskis was arrested and charged with importing cocaine. He appeared at North Somerset Magistrates' Court yesterday, but did not enter a plea. He was remanded in custody to appear at the court via video link on 25 October.
