Plans submitted for new airport hotel
28.07.10
Plans for a 251 bedroom Bristol Airport hotel have been submitted to North Somerset Council. The airport has asked for permission to build the hotel, as well as 117 car parking spaces. It will include the rearrangement to the current airport parking entrance and car hire returns area. If approved, it will create 85 new full time jobs.
The site for the hotel and car park covers 12,480sq m and is currently used as a long stay car park and car hire returns area. Stop Bristol Airport Expansion have called for the withdrawal of the planning application as they say it will shift car parking onto green-belt land.
