27.06.09
With the Glastonbury Festival underway this weekend, demand for flights at Bristol Airport has been strong. And in preparation for passengers leaving the Somerset music event on Sunday and Monday, the airport has installed a special Wellington boot washer, the Mercury reports.
People have been heading to the airport from all over the world to enjoy the music festical, with performances from acts including Blur, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young. Alison Roberts, general manager of the airport, told the newspaper: ‘The week of Glastonbury is always a busy but enjoyable one. While we hope the sun shines this time, we have learned from previous years to be prepared for an influx of muddy passengers following the festival!’
