Airport fills XL gap
25.11.08
The gap left by the collapse of XL Airways earlier this year has been filled at Bristol Airport, thanks to a new deal with a flights company. Teleticket will operate services to a range of popular destinations, including Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Paphos from next year.
The airport were set to operate up to 90 fewer flights a month after XL's collapse in September. Jason Wescott, head of sales at Bristol Airport, said: ‘It's been frustrating to hear from travel agents that customers want to fly from Bristol when booking their holidays, but can't because of a lack of availability. Teleticket has recognised this opportunity and created a 2009 programme that meets demand for flights to many of the most popular destinations.’
