Airport highlights four recent upgrades
25.08.10
Bristol Airport has highlighted four recent projects that have improved the experience for passengers passing through the terminal - especially those who have not visited the hub for a while:
A walkway has been opened that links the terminal to eight new aircraft stands, reducing the need for airlines to bus passengers to and from planes. Passengers boarding flights from the new walkway (gates 8-16) will need to allow a few extra minutes to get to the gate.
The security search area has been expanded, and an improved (paid) fast-track security channel offers a speedy option for business passengers or families wanting a more relaxed start to their holidays.
A new tax and duty free store has transformed the shopping experience at the airport, offering a wider selection of brands, including a Best Of The West range, showcasing products from the region.
New Flyer buses operate every 10 minutes, are wheelchair accessible and passengers are now able to take their luggage on board with them, providing peace of mind and speeding up the boarding process.
