Airport advises festive passengers to allow extra time

Passengers travelling from Bristol Airport over the festive season have been asked to allow extra time for check-in and security. With over 100,000 passengers expected this week alone, the airport is facing a busy Christmas, and the recent weather may also affect people's journeys, which should also be taken into consideration when planning a departure time.
Shaun Browne, aviation director at Bristol Airport, said if passengers arrived too late to clear security and check-in, they may miss their flight. He said: ‘We advise passengers travelling with scheduled airlines to arrive at the terminal at least 90 minutes ahead of their departure time - and 3 hours ahead if travelling on a charter flight.'
