Bristol tops passenger survey
19.07.09
Bristol Airport scored well in a survey of four major airports, the Mercury reports. Research into the passenger experience for the Department for Transport saw 15,000 people surveyed across four UK airports, Bristol, Manchester, Stansted and Heathrow. It found 85 percent of passengers from Bristol were very or fairly satisfied with the airport.
Bristol topped the rankings for satisfaction with the check-in experience, with 94 percent of passengers saying they were very or fairly satisfied, and an average check-in time of 6.7 minutes. The airport's Flyer bus service was also rated highly, with 82 percent of users satisfied.
Robert Sinclair, chief executive officer at Bristol Airport, said: ‘The results of the survey show we are delivering a good service to passengers. However, we must not be complacent, there is always room for improvement, particularly as we enter the peak summer season. To maintain these satisfaction levels we need to continue investing in facilities, people and technology.’
