Airport seeks building contractors

Bristol Airport has said that it needs a framework of up to twelve contractors to carry out the planned expansion works. It is planning a £150m expansion, including an extension to its terminal building, the construction of new walkways and terminal piers, and two multi-storey car parks.
In addition to its expansion, the airport is also looking to increase its use of renewable energy via the construction of wind turbines and a biomass facility to heat the terminal. The value of the projects range from £2.5m to £20m, with the jobs phased in over time in order to meet the demand of the growing number of passengers.
