Bristol Airport parking deal for stranded Bournemouth customers
18.07.10
Bristol Airport has softened the blow for passengers hit by Ryanair's decision to not fly from Bournemouth for three months during the winter. It has offered the stranded Bournemouth passengers discounted airport parking if they fly from Bristol between November and the end of March.
The airport, which is the home for five Ryanair aircraft and attracts around six million passengers a year, is offering a 25 percent discount on airport parking bookings made online before midnight tomorrow for flights between November 1 and March 31, 2011. Passengers should use code RYRBOH when booking the parking at Bristol Airport at bristolairport.co.uk to receive the discount.
James Gore, head of communications at Bristol Airport, said: ‘Dorset residents have traditionally looked to London airports when needing an alternative to Bournemouth, but we would like to encourage those having to make new travel plans this winter as a result of Ryanair’s announcement to consider flying from Bristol.'
‘With 30 destinations from Ryanair, easyJet’s second largest UK base, and a range of full-service scheduled airlines, Bristol Airport has a lot to offer. We are not trying to muscle in, but we want people to know we’re a viable and convenient alternative.’
