Over 10,000 international passengers a week
18.06.08
Over 10,000 passengers a week are travelling to international destinations from Bristol Airport. International destinations available from the hub have increased in number and regularity over the last 18 months, which is seeing an increasing number of passengers flying from Bristol to foreign destinations such as Amsterdam, Paris, and New York.
Shaun Browne, head of route development at the airport, said: ‘The fact that 10,000 passengers a week are travelling between Bristol Airport and major international hubs proves the concept of using feeder flights from UK regional airports to connect to onward destinations.’
'With the success of daily flights to Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris already established, we are keen to expand our routes in order to attract more passengers. We are also evaluating the potential of other hub routes such as Copenhagen and Munich.'
