Police launch 'know your limits' campaign
16.07.10
The police have joined forces with Bristol Airport to ask passengers to enjoy the start of their holidays in a relaxed and family-friendly environment this summer. The campaign reminds passengers of the potential consequences of excessive alcohol consumption and anti-social behaviour at the airport. Table-top signs in the restaurants and bars advise travellers to ‘Know Your Limits’, warning that those who drink excessively risk being barred from flights.
PC Andy Bibbings, who is stationed at the airport, said: ‘We want passengers to enjoy the facilities at Bristol Airport, but inappropriate behaviour spoils it for everyone. This campaign is a reminder to those who cross the line that if they consume too much alcohol they will not be allowed to fly. If you drink too much at the airport or before you arrive and try to board a flight in a drunken state, you will be stopped from flying, could be arrested and may receive a lifetime ban from flying with certain airlines.'
