Airport guide app launched

A new app has been launched to help passengers using Bristol Airport access travel information on the move. The app, built by StreamThru, puts travel tips and flight updates at the fingertips of frequent flyers and first time visitors.
Alerts provide updates on the status of any flight, with other features including an airport guide with maps of the terminal, traffic information and a parking reminder tool to save time and hassle remembering where you parked the car.
The app also includes a guide to a chosen destination, including events listings and a 5 day weather forecast to help plan an itinerary without the need to carry bulky guide books. It also comes with a currency converter to help keep track of spending while overseas.
The app is free and can be downloaded for the iPhone and Ovi. Blackberry and Android versions will be available early next year.
