Airport targets new airlines; routes

Bristol Airport hopes to attract new airlines and gain new routes, its chief executive told the Insider. Robert Sinclair said he would be talking to potential partners at the 'World Routes' conference next month, adding: ‘We are looking to attract new airlines and focusing on a few key markets - Germany, Scandinavia and the Middle East.’
There are currently has thirteen airlines flying in and out of Bristol, with a mixture of budget, charter and full service carriers. Mr Sinclair said the airport is targeting full service airlines – that offer international as well as domestic flights – at the conference, which is being held between October 2 - 4 in Berlin.
He said: ‘We will be meeting with a range of people and there will be an emphasis on presenting to full service airlines. Germany, Scandinavia and the Middle East - including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar – are a focus.’
