Airport walkway approved
13.11.08
Bristol Airport has won permission to build a walkway extension to the terminal. The decision follows an application for a certificate of lawfulness for a structure that would end the need for passengers to take buses from the terminal to aircraft.
Anti-expansion campaigners said the plans were 'expansion by stealth' and argued that a full planning application should be submitted due to the size of the structure. However, councillors on North Somerset Council's South Area Committee voted to allow the development to proceed without one.
