Flybe to launch recruitment drive from regions
13.04.08
The HR director of Flybe, Simon Charles, said in an interview with Personnel Today that the budget airline was planning a recruitment drive to attract pilots and engineers at regional airports.
Flybe is based in Exeter and flies from airports including Southampton, Leeds, Liverpool and Bristol. Mr Charles said: ‘This process [of recruiting key staff at regional airports] isn't as easy as it sounds. Attracting talented individuals into the regions is not as simple as being based in Heathrow.'
‘We want to attract a number of key people into the company, and signal a shift away from the current paper-based recruitment model,’ adding that the airline plans to launch an online recruitment website this summer.
