Codeshare offers indirect New York flights
11.08.10
A codeshare deal will make it simpler for passengers from Bristol Airport to catch flight to New York. Earlier this year it was announced that the airport would lose its direct service to New York operated by Continental Airlines on November 7. However, the airline has signed a codeshare deal with Brussels Airlines that will allow passengers to catch one of three flights a day from Bristol to the Belgian capital and connect to Continental's services to Newark Airport.
The airlines are part of the Star Alliance, meaning passengers can collect and use air miles on the two networks and business travellers can use the Star Alliance Company Plus loyalty programme. Bags can also be checked through. Shaun Browne, aviation director at Bristol Airport, said: ‘This agreement is good news for Continental's customers in Wales.’
