Graffiti update for banned airport hotel advert
09.02.11
A Bristol Airport hotel that faced with a huge bill after the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled a poster at the airport saying the DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House hotel is 10 minutes away is inaccurate found a novel way to update the giant poster, Bristol 24-7 reports. The hotels manager decided to cut costs – and appease the ASA – by doing a DIY makeover to their sign himself.
Mark Hands, group general manager at the airport hotel, took a spray can to the sign yesterday. Rather than 10 minutes from the airport, it now says 11 ! Whether this is enough to keep the ASA happy, or their planned long term solution, time will tell.
