Fog hits flights
04.04.08
Flights were grounded at Bristol Airport this morning due to heavy fog. Planes were stopped from flying out at 08:00 due to poor visibility, with those due to fly into the airport diverted to Birmingham. This led to a number of cancelled flights.
Airport spokesman, James Gore, said: ‘We have had very poor visibility due to fog. This has caused a number of diversions for incoming aircraft, which have gone to Birmingham. This has resulted in knock-on cancellations. Passengers diverted to Birmingham were taken back to Bristol on coaches.'
