Passengers warned to leave plenty of time
02.04.10
Bristol Airport has advised passengers not to risk missing their flights by ‘cutting it fine’ when travelling this weekend. In the region of 66,000 people will pass through the terminal over this weekend (April 2 - 5), and the very busy schedule, along with ongoing work to enhance facilities at the airport, means passengers are advised to allow the plenty of time to check-in and pass through the airport.
Check-in opens up to 3 hours before departure depending on the airline. Shaun Browne, the airport's aviation director, said: ‘Passengers must be aware that processes such as check-in, security search and boarding all take time, particularly for families or large groups. Leaving it to the last minute may mean an extra hour in bed, but it may be the difference between an excellent start to the Easter break and the frustration of missing your holiday.’
