Bristol Airport Guide

This is a guide to bristol airport. At www.bristol-airport.info you will find everything you need to know about bristol airport, quickly and in one place.

This is not the 'official' airport website (which is at www.bristolairport.co.uk), it's an in depth guide, where everything you need to know is no more than 2 clicks away. Click on any of the links on the left to find the information you need, including Bristol Airport Parking and Bristol Airport Hotels.

Bristol International Airport is the principal gateway to and from the west of England, it is popular with business and holiday travellers, and 6.1 million passengers travelled through the airport in 2013, up 3.4% and the forth consecutive year of growth. There are more than 30 scheduled and charter airlines flying to over 90 destinations from the airport.

The airport terminal is 7 miles (12 kms) south-west of central Bristol, off the A4 and junction 18 of the M5 motorway from the north or off the A38 and junction 22 of the M5 from the south. The airport has one terminal, with an arrivals and departures floor.

There is ample parking at bristol airport, with around 500 short term and 6735 long term airport parking spaces, plus off airport parking, which is usually cheaper. There are a small number of local hotels offering the 'airport hotel with free parking' package, plus a few local hotels and guest houses close to the airport.

Once inside the terminal you will find all of the facilities you would expect at a small international airport. There are two airport lounges, currency exchange bureaus and a number of ATMs. There is a good range of eating options, excellent disabled facilities and there is also duty free shopping.

For those meeting someone at the airport it couldn't be simpler. Follow the directions on our 'directions' page and park in the short term airport parking (this is clearly signposted at you near the airport). Then head for arrivals and check the flight status on the arrivals information boards for when you need to wait by the gate.

If want to know about airport security, the history of bristol international airport, technical data, or you want to do a spot of plane spotting, we can help you with that too. Just click on the relevant link in the index boxes on the left.

And if you have a stop over at the airport, have a look at our bristol airport lounge and bristol airport hotel pages, or you might have a look at the local attractions page, and take in one of the local sights whilst you wait for your connecting flight.
